Sailing Area
Located on the western side of Greece, the Ionian Islands consist of
Kefalonia, Corfu, Lefkas, Ithaka, Zante, Paxoi, and Kithira. Each of these
islands, the so
called "Eptanisa" in Greek, share a common history and
offer a multitude of diversity and beauty waiting to be discovered.
We are based in Lixouri on the island of Kefalonia. From here we set sail into
the Ionian Sea
to visit many picturesque islands and bays.
The wind conditions that prevail during the summer period are predominantly
north westerly
and gentle southerlies, occasionally reaching force 5 or stronger.
These conditions make cruising
and learning to sail very pleasurable. Temperatures
are temperate and typically Mediterranean
with cooler evenings and warm days. |
