This course is for candidates who already hold a commercially
endorsed RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore qualification who would
like to teach the RYA syllabus up to Day Skipper level at any RYA
recognised training centre. You must have excellent communication
skills as well as a patient and easy-going personality.

Amongst other things we will be covering topics such as safety,
communication and practical demonstrations, time and people management,
teaching techniques, RYA courses syllabus, briefing and debriefing effectively,
care of guests and boat maintenance, instructor responsibilities etc.

Course details

Duration	6 days (5 on the water and 1 in the classroom)
Pre-course requirements	Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence, Commercial Endorsement, Basic Sea Survival, VHF/SRC Operator’s License, First Aid Certificate, Medical Fitness Examination (ML5 or ENG1) or medical certificate issued by a National Maritime Authority.
Assumed Knowledge	A candidate’s ability and knowledge should be above the level of Yachtmaster.
